Rouge Amour is a short film student project developed through the work of the CDA association. Moreover, this film has received support from several associations fighting against homophobia.

    This support was granted in return for a free copie of the film, so that these associations can use it as a teaching tool. It coudl then be shown during their school-based interventions, during associative forums or various other events organized around the fight against homophobia.

    The goal of this project is primarily raise young people awarness of the problems and consequences linked to homophobia, particularly in schools. We hope this film helps to prevent and reduce the number of verbal and physical agressions directly resulting from such discrimination and, perhaps, save the lives of many teenagers.

    Alex is a teenager whose goal is simple: be a little less noticed. Younger, he already was the drudge of his comrades. Before he had a chance to find himself, the others had categorized him.

    Then Vincent came into his life. He came from another school and he learned to know him without prejudice and became his friend. Thanks to him, Alex seemed to regain his zest for life, so long forgotten. But when he wondered if Vincent was more to him than just a friendship and let him know, Vincent got scared and violently rejected him.

    Alone again, all his childhood demons came back to him. Rejected by the only person who ever showed him affection, and gradually consumed by the pain of his memories, how long will he be able to resist the urge to finish it all? How long will it take before someone gives him a hand?
